Telsa never fails to impress. By the end of 2017 Telsa aims to have fully self-driving cars available to consumers. The car is expected to be able to park itself, as well as can be "summoned" by the owner by touching a button on your phone. No matter where you are the car WILL eventually find you. Many may think this is impossible, because as of now it has been. Telsa has created cars with the "Autopilot" feature but this is only to assist the driver. The "Autopilot" is not meant to act alone, and can not be held solely responsible for safe driving. The driver is expected to be aware and operating the vehicle. However, Telsa is looking to change that. Elon Musk stated that self-driving can not be added to the cars Telsa manufactures now. The new cars will be completely remodeled, equipped with enough cameras to give the computers a complete 360 view around the car. Also the sensors will be improved and the computers will run 40 times faster than the ones in the current models. At first the cars will be less functional than the current models, that's because the new hardware in the new models need new software. The new software will be released over time as it is throughly tested. The self-driving feature also is not available as an upgrade to other models, it will be exclusive to Model X, Model S, and Model 3 owners. Overall if you'd like to sit back and relax as your car drives you from New York to California, Telsa in 2017 is where you need to be.
