ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: WHAT AN AWKWARD START TO A NEW YEAR..

It’s no secret that Mariah Carey New Year’s Eve performance in Times Square was a complete disaster to say the least. Supporters, non-supporters , and the R&B singer herself have already taken to social media to give their two cents on the sad but hilarious performance, if I do say so myself.

According to an article from TMZ.com, in an effort to defend her performance, Mariah says the performance was sabotage for TV exec to tally more ratings than usual. Which if you were tuning in before the attitude and tantrum was thrown by the R&B singer on stage, she made it pretty clear in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that she couldn’t quite hear.

In addition to all of the sound complaints made by Mariah and her crew , to top the ice cream with a big red cherry, apparently the promoter that displays the lyrics to the song wasn’t working either. Wow!!

Blog and entertainment sources say Mariah’s team shot off an email to the exec at Dick Clark Productions immediately. Needless to say I’m sure that won’t be the last time they hear from the R&B Diva and her team.

But of course a show isn’t really a show until something goes horribly wrong. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
